Content Structure of Maps of India CD
The CD is the largest source on maps of India. The CD contains not-to-scale map images of India, its States, Districts and Cities. Various sections on thematic map on the World, India and States form a major part of the CD. Most of the maps have been designed to fit into one screen size and are printable on A4 size sheets. In addition to this, the CD contains databases like States’ & Districts’ Profiles, Flight & Train Schedule, Distance & Highway Charts, Latitudes & Longitudes, Pin Codes and Dialing Codes
The content of the CD is categorized under following heads:
India: A Thematic View: The MOI CD covers India level maps on varying topics like agriculture, mineral, forest coverage, travel/tourism etc. Geography maps, climate maps, river and lake maps, soil and vegetation maps, industry and business map, social and cultural map, religion map, education map, election maps on both parliamentary and Assembly constituency have been included.
States, Union Territories & District Maps: All the 35 States and Union Territory are covered in the CD. Various thematic maps on State level are available like educational institutions, industrial growth centers etc. All the district maps are available with district boundaries, roads, rail network in the district along with the district headquarter, major tehsils, cities & towns.
Cities of India:Over 150 city maps are included in the CD showing the major roads and places of interests in the city. All the maps are printable on an A4 sheet.
History Maps: Maps on history, pre history period, ancient India, medieval India, British India, Modern India are included in the CD
Road Network of India: MOI CD covers the road network of India with State Maps, Intra city maps and inter city maps
Tourism Maps: Maps on star hotels, beaches, stadiums and other entertainment facility locations are covered through these maps.
Census Overview Maps:: Maps on various census themes like population, sex ratio, work force and related factors are covered here.
Agricultural Maps: The CD covers agriculture map of the country and the States showing the cultivation pattern and distribution of spice, oilseeds and commercial crops in India.
Mineral Wealth of India: The maps of coal, metallic and non-metallic mineral wealth of India and state-wise mineral maps are presented here.
Infrastructure Overview Maps: Air network map, major sea ports, railway network, road network, energy maps and communication maps are included.
National Highways: A sample of national highways are covered in the CD so that travel through highway is made easy.
Outline Maps of India and States: Illustrate outline map images of States of India and Union Territories.
World Maps: The CD also encompasses maps of continents and maps on world’s population, economy, vegetation and more.

Highway Search: Determine the distance of more that 220 highways of India with this tool.
Latitude & Longitude: Locate the latitude and longitude of over 1,500 cities of India
Pin Codes: Track Pin Code information of as many as 43, 500 cities of India
STD & ISD Codes: Access the STD codes of 2648 cities of India and over of 4,400 ISD codes for cities in 225 countries. back
