Kalas Utsav

The Kalas Utsav is celebrated in the Indian month of Phalgun, which corresponds with the months of February and March.

Once in every two years the Kalas Utsav is celebrated on a grand scale in Morjim village (Pernem taluka) at Sri Morjaee Temple. The festival commences from Phalgun Shuddha Panchami; the celebrations and worship lasting for almost a month.

The terminal seven days is marked by a magnanimous and grand religious and cultural affair. These concluding days attract people from far and wide; who come in celebration and worship.

Especially, this grand finale is attended by people from Maharashtra and Karnataka, not merely as a religious occasion but also for its social significance.
