Gandhi Smriti stands in the center of Bhavnagar city as an institution that commemorates the life and meritorious service of the Father of the Nation. Established in 1955, the Gandhi Smriti has since then become one of the most frequented places in Bhavnagar.
Other than the picture gallery and museum, Gandhi Smriti also houses a library and the Khadi Gramodyog Bhandar. The tourists may visit Gandhi Smriti, Bhavnagar on all days of the week excepting Sundays. The museum also remains closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. An entrance charge of Rs 3 is charged to the visitors. The museum remains open for the public between 9 A.M to 6 P.M.
