Amarkantak Thermal Power Plant is located at Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh, India. This thermal power plant in Madhya Pradesh is coal based and owned by MPPGCL. This Madhya Pradesh thermal power station has a power generating capacity of 450.00 MW. The First unit of the plant came to existence in the month of March 1977. The plant procures it water needs from the nearest Sutna Nala Dam on the Sone River while the coal is obtained from the Southern Coal Fields.

Satpura Thermal Power Plant is situated in Sarni village which is close to the Ghora Dongri Railway station, Betul district in Madhya Pradesh. This efficient thermal power station in Madhya Pradesh is a cloal based plant under the ownership of MPPGCL. The plant is replete with an installed capability of 1142.50 MW. The 1st unit commenced in October 1967. While the coal for the plant is acquired from the Western Coal Fields, the Tawa Dam Lake area serves the water needs of the plant.

Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Plant is situated near the Birsinghpur railway station on the Bilaspur-Katni section of the SE Railway. It is in Umaria district, Madhya Pradesh. This Madhya Pradesh thermal power plant also belongs to and is coal based. 1340.00 MW is the installed power capacity of the Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station. The 1st unit started its operations in 1993. Kohila Dam provides the plant with water whereas south eastern Coal Fields caters to the coal requirements of the station.
