| Overview/History | The Sunburn Goa is a popular electronic dance music festival which takes place over three days. The festival is a prime attraction and draws major crowds. Sunburn Goa is organized by Shailendra Singh of Percept, in partnership with Nikhil Chinapa, a popular Indian radio jockey, video jockey and presenter on MTV India. The festival is a combination of music, dance, entertainment, food, shopping and has multiple stages where artists perform daily. The festival is a big hit among the youth. The first sunburn festival Goa was held in the year 2007. It had ten stalls in all, along with a flea market. A total of 36 national and international artists adorned the event with their rocking performances. Close to 10,000 people attended the festival. The event was set as a benchmark and in the years to come, it grew into a huge success. Tickets to the festival cost around Rs. 9,250 (Rs. 8,043 + taxes) while VIP tickets cost around Rs. 15,500 (Rs.13, 435 + taxes). |
| Celebration | The Sunburn Festival is all about music, dance and entertainment. This three-day festival also features a variety of other events, too. There are numerous stalls which serve delicious food. There are also several activities like fire juggling, mechanical bull riding, rock climbing, slippery football, spa treatments, massages, etc. The Sunburn Festival Goa 2013 was hosted by Nikhil Chinapa and Rohit Barker. The festival witnessed both nationally and internationally renowned artists like Afrojack, Markus Schulz, Axwell, Andrew Rayel, Quintino, Pete Tong, Goldfish, James Zabiela, Mark Knight, Shermanology, Josh Wink, etc. The Sunburn Festival is celebrated throughout the year at different places across the country. Sunburn 2014 The Sunburn Festival 2014 will take place 24-25 January 2014 in Bengaluru at Neo Town, Electronic City Phase I. The festival has a lot to make your experience a memorable one. For the first time in India, the famous DJ Armin van Buuren will host a six-hour solo at 'Sunburn Arena', which will be accompanied by live musicians playing violins, guitars, pianos, and other instruments. The visitors will also be able to enjoy the performance of the best acrobats of the world. Popular singers like Trevor Guthrie, Fiora Cutler, Richard Bedford, Laura Jansen, Lauren Evans, and Cindy Alma will also perform at the event. |
