Meerut-Lucknow Rajya Rani Express Derails Near Rampur

As per reports, eight coaches of Meerut-Lucknow Rajya Rani Express derailed on Saturday morning at 8.15 am near Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.


12 people were reportedly injured, while three of them are in critical condition. There was no report of any casualties.

Medical teams are on the site and operations are being supervised by the DRM Muradabad.

Reports also say that Rs 50,000 ex-gratia for each of the critically injured and Rs 25,000 ex-gratia for each of the injured have been announced by Uttar pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath. An ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 for the injured has also been announced by the Railways.
