Suspected Terror Attack Town in Punjab, Five Dead & Seven persons injured

10:15 AM, July 27, 2015  – At least five people were killed and seven injured in Punjab’s Dinanagar town in the Gurdaspur district when gunmen opened indiscriminate fire at a bus stand and a police station. As per media reports, the seven people injured also include police officers. The gunmen, who were believed to have come from Pakistan, were wearing Army uniforms. They first fired at people near the Dinanagar bus stand and then targeted a police station. Reinforcements have been rushed to the spot and Army commandos and a Quick Response Team (QRT) have also been called in.
An encounter is currently on at the police station.
