Bigg Boss is back for its 18th season, and as always, there will be high-stakes drama, emotional confrontations, and surprises.

Bigg Boss is back on the air with Salman Khan as host. The actor’s voice was the only sound in the first Bigg Boss 18 teaser published last week, introducing this season’s theme, Time Ka Tandav (the chaos of time). Salman accompanies viewers on an adventure to clarify the notion in a new promotional video that dropped on Sunday night, September 22. It will air on JioCinema and Colours TV beginning Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 9 PM.

What is in the new promo?

The commercial starts with Salman standing atop a ticking clock, wearing a dark blue shirt and a black suit. Then he says that the Bigg Boss brand eye has only shown and seen the present until now, but it will now also take us to the past and the future. Then Salman goes on a trip that looks like a time machine. Hourglasses, masks, and cameras are some things that happen to him. At the end of the ad, he looks into the camera and says the theme song for this season again: “Time ka Tandav.”

About Season 18 of Bigg Boss

Salman will be back to host the new season of Bigg Boss 18 after not being on Bigg Boss OTT 3. Anil Kapoor, who worked with him on “No Entry,” took over as the host of that episode, which actor Sana Makbul won. Salman hosted Bigg Boss 17 last year, and the winner was stand-up performer Munawar Faruqui. Ever since Bigg Boss 4 in 2010, Salman has been the host of the famous reality show, which is based on the American show Big Brother. He was also the host of Bigg Boss OTT 2 on JioCinema. Karan Johar, the director, hosted the first season.

A History of Drama and Fun with Bigg Boss

Bigg Boss, based on the international show “Big Brother,” has been a mainstay of Indian reality TV since the beginning. Along with regular people, the show locks a group of celebrities inside a house for a few weeks so they can’t talk to anyone else. To stay in the competition, the housemates have to do tasks, deal with their relationships with each other, and avoid being evicted every week.

Due to its unique mix of drama, strategy, and controversy, Bigg Boss has gained a considerable fan base over the years. Each season has new twists, but the basic format stays the same: be ready for the unexpected. Salman Khan’s work as host has been a big part of the show’s long-lasting appeal. The Bollywood actor is known for his sharp one-liners and straightforward attitude. He is a big part of keeping the show’s high energy level, especially during “Weekend Ka Vaar” episodes, where he talks to housemates, handles problems, and often calls people out for their actions.

What to expect in Bigg Boss 18?

Many rules are still unknown, but fans can expect Bigg Boss 18 to have its usual mix of drama, shock eliminations, and unusual alliances. With time-based tasks, surprises, and outcomes that keep participants on edge, the “Time Ka Taandav” concept could make the show even less predictable than it initially seems.

Salman Khan’s comment about “peeking into the future of the housemates” has also led to rumours that this season may have time travel themes or flashbacks to essential events in the contestants’ lives. We still don’t know if these are literal or figurative uses of time, but one thing is for sure: the audience is in for a wild ride.

India’s Bigg Boss fans can’t wait for October 6, when the house doors will open for the game again.
