1. Made in Heaven

Made by Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar and Alankrita Shrivastava, Made in Heaven is a pure desi story which unmasks the fabricated goodness inside luxurious palaces. With a total of nine episodes, every episode unfolds with a separate wedding by giving us the insights of the main protagonists parallelly. Made in Heaven is available on Amazon Prime.

2. Out of Love

Hotstar original, Out of Love is a web series based on Mike Barlett’s Doctor Foster. The series revolves around a husband-wife duo played by Purab Kohli and Rasika Duggal. An uncomfortable watch since it traverses the adversity of a cheating partner. The story is so intense that it plants the seed of doubt on your mind ruthlessly.

3. Kaafir

Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina, Kaafir is a story of a young Pakistani mother who is gets stuck in India and is not able to go back home as a result of the Indo-Pak conflict. It is available on Zee5.

4. Leila

Based on Prayag Akbar’s novel, Leila is a dystopian drama starring Huma Qureshi as the protagonist. It is dark and scary because the conglomerate world of Aryavarta which separates families and puts them into concentration camps if they have an inter-caste marriage. Sounds bizarrely similar? 5. Little Things

Little Things on Netflix is a light-hearted web series revolving around the lives of Dhruv and Kavya, the live-in partners who have taken another step in becoming long-distance partners. After the first two seasons of comfortable, cute love story, the third season has stepped into a more serious one which explores the more significant questions in a relationship.
