All You Need To Know About Moto Buds+ Launched In India

While the Buds+ is offered in two tones, the Buds are available in three colours.

In India, Motorola released two new sets of earbuds that are completely wireless. The more expensive Buds include compatibility with Dolby Atmos and the Buds+, which have Bose audio tuning. Its availability is on Flipkart and the company’s official website from May 15. The pricing of the Motorola Buds is Rs 4,999, and the Buds+ are Rs 9,999. While the Buds+ is offered in two tones, the Buds are available in three colours. For a restricted period, some bank card holders can purchase the Buds and Buds+ for Rs 3,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively.

With capabilities like Dolby head tracking—a function seen on higher-end earbuds—Moto claims the Buds+ provide an improved audio experience. With support for EQ adjustment and active noise cancellation (ANC) with a maximum dB level of 46dB, it is also compatible with high-resolution audio. Hi-Res Audio certifications are available for both Moto Buds and Moto Buds+. Additionally, they include triple microphone systems with integrated environmental noise cancellation (ENC). The Buds+ can play music for up to eight hours on a single charge, and the charging case may extend that time by an additional 38 hours. The Moto Buds are stated to have a nine-hour playback duration when the ANC is turned off, while the Buds+ are believed to have an eight-hour runtime.

While the basic variant can operate for up to two hours with just ten minutes of Quick Charge, the Moto Buds Plus model is expected to offer up to three hours of playback time. While the Moto Buds+ case also offers wireless charging, both earphone charging cases support USB Type-C charging. The carry case, which accepts both wired and wireless charging, extends the battery life of the Buds by an additional 42 hours, bringing their total battery life to nine hours. The Buds lack an official IP classification, despite rumours that their design is water-repellent. The earbuds also support Bluetooth 5.3 communication. The Moto Buds+ weigh 42.8g, while the Moto Buds charging case with the earbuds weighs 36g.

Other characteristics of the Moto Buds include Dolby Atmos sound quality and high-resolution music supported by a 12.4mm dynamic driver. Wireless charging and head tracking are not included, though. The 11mm woofer and 6mm tweeter with Moto Buds+ are dual dynamic drivers. Both iOS and Android smartphones can use the Moto Buds+ and the Buds. High-resolution audio features, however, are only available on a few different Android handsets. They also support Google Fast Pair for simple pairing. There are presently three Pantone-curated color options for these earphones: Coral Peach, Glacier Blue, and Starlight Blue. It is anticipated that they will shortly provide a fourth Kiwi Green variant.

The Moto Buds and Moto Buds+ may be used with the Moto Buds application, which allows users to adjust touch functionalities and the equaliser in their audio experience. At this time, the app is exclusively accessible through the Play Store for Android smartphones. The business stated that it is developing an iOS version, which should be available soon.
