On a busy day at the office or at home we usually gorge on burgers, fries and cold drinks. We often eat several things and make weird combinations. But we don't realise how harmful these combinations can be for our health. Sometimes they make us feel heavy and lethargic. Common food combinations such as bread jam, a glass of orange juice with oats are not as good as they taste. They create toxicity in the body and give rise to several diseases and their after-effects are more harmful then we can imagine.
Here's a list of food items which we must avoid in a combination:
Fruit and Yoghurt
Yoghurt with fruits is a regular breakfast meal which we eat. But do you know that yogurt with fruits is not a healthy combination? Yoghurt which contains plenty of bacteria reacts with the acids or sugar present in the fruits. The digestive fibers diminish and toxins are produced which lead to cold and allergies. One can mix dry fruits instead of fresh fruits with yoghurt for having an energy packed breakfast.
Burger and Fries
Potato fries have sugar and they create cytokines which cause inflammation and also speed up the aging process. Moreover, both the foods have trans fat as both are deep fried ( the patty of the burger and fries both) which lower the blood sugar levels and more often than not make you feel exhausted and sleepy.
Cereal and Milk
This may appear blasphemous to some people as cereal with milk is a staple food in many countries across the world. Mainly consumed in breakfast, cereal and milk combination is harmful because both the items contain fast digesting carbs which put the body under stress. They cause blood sugar spikes which leave a person exhausted. Moreover, this combination makes you crave more junk food.
Pizza and Soda
Most of us are unable to eat pizza without a fizzy drink. But this combination is extremely harmful because the carbs in the pizza along with proteins and starch take up a lot of energy from the body to get digested. In addition to this, the sugar in the soda slows down the process of digestion and also other processes taking place in the stomach.
Mint with Aerated Drinks
Peppermint should never be consumed with aerated drinks because it is a fatal and toxic combination in the stomach. If mixed in the right proportions these two elements can form cyanide within the body. So, it's better not to consume peppermint with aerated drinks.
Bacon and Eggs
Bacon and eggs, a delicious combination for non-vegetarians is also in our list as this combination increases the risk of high blood pressure. It elevates the cholesterol levels in the blood leading to a severe risk of heart diseases. Also, the combination gives an instant energy boost when you eat it but it vanishes really soon and leaves you lethargic.
Banana and Milk
According to Ayurveda, the combination of Banana and Milk is heavy and also produces toxins in the body. Banana becomes sour by the time it reaches the stomach at the time of digestion. Because of this the milk can curdle and turn into a mucus forming substance. Milk and banana both have sugar because of which you get an insulin spike which is harmful to the body.
Tomatoes and Pasta
Pasta is rich in starchy carbs and is difficult to digest. On the other hand, tomatoes are considered highly acidic and also cause hindrance in the digestion of starch. As per health experts, one should avoid mixing carbohydrates with acids as this meal too requires a lot of energy to digest.
So, be mindful and avoid eating these things together in a combination. Better be safe than sorry.
