
Potato or aaloo is a very versatile vegetable grown all over the world. Here in India we use potatoes mixed with literally every other vegetable to make a dish. It is used in starters, main course and even as a filling in Indian breads like aaloo ka paratha. Just the name of some of the dishes is enough to start you drooling, well here is another dish that you would love to eat and serve. I made Crispy Potatoes In Tangy Sauce. All you need is (serves 2)
Potatoes – 2
Oil – 1 tbsp
Black pepper – 1/2 tsp (coarsely grounded)
Red chili flakes – 1/2 tsp
Mixed herbs – 1/2 tsp
Saunth powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
For Sauce
Oil – 1 tsp
Butter – 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1/2 tsp (coarsely grounded)
Tomato sauce – 3 tbsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Water – 1 cup
Crispy Potato In Tangy Sauce Recipe
Preparation time: 15 min.
Cooking time: 15 min.
Mix 1 tbsp oil, black pepper powder, mixed herbs, red chili flakes, saunth powder and salt.
Half boil the potatoes and cut in them into round slices and marinate them with the mixture. Keep aside for about 20 min.
For Sauce
Heat butter and oil in a thick bottom pan, add ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
Add black pepper powder, tomato sauce, salt and water and boil for about 5-6 min with constant stirring.
Pour it in the serving plate and let it cool slightly.
Heat a griddle and grill the marinated potatoes from both sides for 2-3 min.
Place over the sauce and serve.
