Not all foods which we consume early in the morning are good for our health. It will not be right to eat everything early in the morning as certain things can be injurious to our health. Usually, the first thing that we consume after waking up sets forth the course of your day. So, we should consume only those things which are good for our health. There are a few items which are extremely dangerous to our body.

1. Yoghurt

The first in our list is yoghurt. Surprised? Well, it is, as we considered yoghurt to be good food after all. Consuming yoghurt is good but not on an empty stomach. Yoghurt or any fermented milk product forms hydrochloric acid in the stomach which kills the good bacteria. It leads to acidity and flatulence in the body. Therefore, we are unable to gain the complete health benefits of yoghurt if it is the first thing that we consume in the morning.
2. Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits have a high amount of fruit acids. There occurs an increase in acidity and gastritis because of these acids present in citrus fruits. People who have diabetes should strictly abhor citrus fruits on an empty stomach as it is extremely harmful to them. Fruits such as oranges, lemons, and grapefruit etc. are highly acidic and on mixing with our digestive juices can cause heartburn, irritation, and other gastric problems. Additionally, fruits have high sugar levels which give us another reason to avoid taking them early in the morning.
3. Coffee

Having coffee may make you active during a hectic day but it is not a good choice in order to kick start your day. Starting the day with coffee can stimulate the secretion of hydrochloric acid in the digestive system which can further lead to acidity. This, in turn, could lead to heartburn and cause gastritis too.
4. Pear

Pears are extremely nutritious and full of minerals and vitamins. They are also low in calories and so are considered to be highly beneficial for our body. But do you know that pears also contain crude fiber which can damage the delicate mucous membranes present in the stomach if eaten on an empty stomach? Also, roughage present in pears can damage the gastrointestinal tissues when consumed without eating anything else in the morning. Eating pears is healthy but it is strictly advised to avoid without having breakfast.
5. Sweets

Eating sugary products on an empty stomach is injurious to health. It can surely affect insulin production within the body and lead to diabetes. The excess sugar spikes the blood sugar level and calories provide no nutrition to the body. The dramatic increase of sugar in the blood is because of the consumption of additional sugar, so avoid further addition of sugar and calorie content in breakfast. Avoid sweetening your breakfast by consuming sugary products, rather consume something healthy along with them for establishing a balance.
6. Banana

We have all heard about the specific banana diet in which one has to eat only one or more bananas and nothing else. But, this banana diet is not a good idea for our stomach. Bananas contain a high amount of fiber, potassium and magnesium. They contain sugar and are acidic in nature, therefore, can cause problems to the intestines. The high amount of sugar in bananas can make you feel drowsy and energy-drained. Consuming the bananas on an empty stomach can also lead to an imbalance of potassium and magnesium present in the blood. This may also cause harm to the heart.
So, it is advised to not to consume the right foods at the wrong time.
