All you need is (serves 4)
Rice – 1 & 1/2 cup
Curd – 2 cup
Salt to taste
Carrot – 1 (shredded)
Desi ghee – 1 tbsp
Zeera – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Heeng – 1 pinch
Dry red chilies – 3 to 4
South Indian Curd Rice Recipe
Preparation time: 5 min.
Cooking time: 25 min.
Boil the rice with 3 cup water until cooked.
Mash the rice lightly, add curd, salt & shredded carrots and mix well.
Heat desi ghee in a tempering pan, add zeera and mustard seeds.
When the seeds starts to crackle, add heeng, curry leaves & dry red chilies and temper for few seconds.
Add the temper to the curd rice mixture.
Serve.
