The rice is cooked, mixed and mashed with curd (dahi) and the tempering added over the top to make this great recipe. I'm sure once you try this dish you would want to make it again and again. All you need is (serves 4) Rice - 1 & 1/2 cup Curd - 2 cup Salt to taste Carrot - 1 (shredded) Desi ghee - 1 tbsp Zeera - 1 tsp Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Curry leaves - 1 sprig Heeng - 1 pinch Dry red chilies - 3 to 4

South Indian Curd Rice Recipe

Preparation time: 5 min. Cooking time: 25 min. Boil the rice with 3 cup water until cooked. Mash the rice lightly, add curd, salt & shredded carrots and mix well. Heat desi ghee in a tempering pan, add zeera and mustard seeds. When the seeds starts to crackle, add heeng, curry leaves & dry red chilies and temper for few seconds. Add the temper to the curd rice mixture. Serve.
