
Tofu is often called the soy paneer as it is made in very similar way from soy milk as paneer is made from the regular milk. It is healthy to include it in our diet, as apart from giving good amount of proteins it contains no cholesterol at all. Although a few years back I’d question how good it can be, I now make it pretty regularly. All you need is (serves 2)
Tofu – 150 gms
Onion – 1 cup (chopped)
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Tomato – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 tbsp
Fresh dhania for garnishing
Tofu Masala Recipe
Preparation time: 10 min.
Cooking time: 25 min.
Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan, ad onions and fry till light brown.

Add ginger paste and garlic paste and fry till golden brown.
Add all the dry masala and fry for 2-3 min.
Add tomatoes and fry till the oil starts to leave the sides.

Add tofu with 1 cup water, some dhania leaves and mix well with the masala.

Cook for about 5 min.
Garnish with fresh dhania leaves.
Serve hot.
