
Today is Valentine’s day and a lot of people are looking to do something different to impress their valentines. Well why not make a special and great looking dessert for your special one. Red is the color of the day, so I used strawberry’s set over a white chocolate. This White Chocolate & Strawberry Mousse can be made with easily available ingredients. I used a readily available milky bar white chocolate for the white layer while the contrasting red color came from strawberries. Here is a simple recipe for you today. Enjoy a great Valentine’s Day!
All you need is (serves 2)
For White Chocolate Layer
White Chocolate – 75 gms
Milk – 1 tbsp
Whipping cream – 75 ml
Vanilla extract – 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice – 1/4 tsp
Castor sugar – 1/2 tsp
Egg white – 1
For Strawberry Layer
Strawberry – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Sugar – 1 tsp
Mint leaves – 5 to 6
White Chocolate & Strawberry Mousse Recipe
Preparation time: 10 min.
Cooking time: 30 min. + 1 hr. for setting
For White Chocolate Layer
Melt the white chocolate, add milk, vanilla extract and whisk well for 5 min and keep aside.
Take the whipping cream in a glass bowl and whisk to form stiff peaks and keep aside.
Beat the egg white, add lemon juice and castor sugar and whisk for 5 min.
Slowly mix the chocolate mixture and cream mixture with the eggs.
Pour it in serving glasses and let it set for an hour in the refrigerator.
For Strawberry Layer
Mix strawberry and sugar and cook in a pan on slow heat for 5 -6 min.
Let it cool and then decorate over the set white chocolate mousse.
Decorate with mint leaves.
Serve fresh.
