  1. Visit https://uidai.gov.in/, the UIDAI’s official website, or get the mAadhaar app for your smartphone.
  2. ‘Select the ‘Verify email/mobile Number’ option in the website’s ‘My Aadhaar’ area. Go to the ‘Services’ area of the mAadhaar app and choose the ‘Verify email/mobile Number’ option.
  3. Your 12-digit Aadhaar number must be entered with the captcha code shown on the screen. Choose “Send OTP” or “Enter TOTP” by clicking either.
  4. Type in the email address or mobile number you want to confirm. You will get an OTP on your email or cell phone if you decide to get one. You can also use a time-based one-time password (TOTP) produced by the mAadhaar app, provided you have registered your mobile phone with Aadhaar.
  5. To validate the verification, enter the OTP or TOTP. You will notice a confirmation message on the screen if your email or cellphone number has been validated with Aadhaar. If not, a warning message stating that your email address or mobile number is not registered with Aadhaar.
