Cutoff Trends
The needed cutoff to join the rank list has decreased from 2024 but is still greater than the levels before 2023. This change is made because the exam becomes harder and because candidates’ performance changes over time.Tie-Breaking Rules
In cases where candidates have identical scores, the following tie-breaking criteria are applied:- Higher Positive Marks: A higher number of positive marks can help a candidate be chosen.
- Subject Scores: In case marks in all subjects are the same, the candidates with the better marks in Mathematics or Physics are select.
- Age: In case of a tie, the seniors get a better ranking.
- JEE Main Scores: If the previous methods cannot separate the applicants, then applicants are ranked according to their JEE Main scores.
