Know About The Churro Recipe

Resembling the horns of Churro sheep, churros are a generic Mexican dessert made by piping choux pastry in hot oil and encrusting it with sugar (usually cinnamon). It is the ideal snack to make your tastebuds rock. Crunchy and redolent, this go-to snack gets extensively consumed as breakfast in Spain, North America, Mexico, and the Latin regions of the world. Usually accompanied by scorching chocolate or beverage, this honey-drizzled snack satisfies your sweet tooth.

Often dipped in the hot chocolate sprinkled with cinnamon, churros get served in shops, usually in Spain, where they are extensively famous. Even when your stomach is aching after having a blowout, you surely have a tiny space for this Mexican delicacy.
Found in different shapes like a pretzel, heart, star, and stick, churros get treasured by a preponderance of the population all around the world. Crisp from the surface while soft within, preparing them is a hard row to hoe. But, don’t worry! With proper administration and recipe, you can make the nosh finger-licking good.

Ingredients:

  • 150 ml Water
  • 20g Sugar
  • 40g Unsalted butter
  • 110g All-purpose flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • Cooking oil

Method:

  1. Pour 150 ml water into a pot and add 50g sugar and 40g unsalted butter. Heat the mixture on a medium flame and lower it when you see the water boil. (It is preferred to use unsalted butter).
  2. Pour 110g all-purpose flour in the batter prepared earlier and keep mixing for 2-3 minutes while making sure the dough does not get dry and glutinous. Keep whisking till the batter is smooth.
  3. Wait for some time for the dough to cool down and crack in 2 eggs one by one in the batter while whisking gently. Make sure the eggs get perfectly blended with the dough.
  4. Add the dough to a pastry bag and squeeze the mixture out on wax paper in your favourite pattern and shapes. (You may or may not use the wax paper)
  5. Pre-heat the oil and dip the churros in it. Make sure the oil is not too hot and keep browning till they turn dark yellow.

That’s it! Your fresh and crunchy churros are ready. Relish them with a thick and hot beverage or molten chocolate.
