Looop Lapeta Movie Review

What if you get three chances to fix the situation and escape death? Looop Lapeta, made by Aakash Bhatia and centred in Goa, is a humorous Hindi remake of Tom Tykwer’s famous German movie ‘Run Lola Run’ from the 1990s.

Taapsee Pannu takes up the role of Franka Potente but with a bit more time to save up. Savi, the renowned runner, has 80 minutes instead of Lola’s 20 to sprint around and earn 50 lakh. The movie’s high point is the time loop, which allows her three chances to reclaim the money in different methods while remaining alive. So, what happens in this hilarious comedy-thriller about a race against the clock?

Taapsee is in such a good mood, running around in movies as if she doesn’t care about anything. The woman deserves praise for her unwavering commitment to playing bizarre characters and telling diverse themes. Taapsee, in her movies, promises to be distinct, a great accomplishment for the diva. Looop Lapeta is also a hilarious ride with a timer that creates the sense of being on a rollercoaster ride. While remaining faithful to the original in concept and delivery, the Hindi remake succeeds in establishing its captivating insane world and personality.

The feeling of immediacy is weakened to build the composite characters, which lasts about an hour longer than the original. While you get the nagging impression that the movie should have been cut short, the patient persistence pays off as the film unfolds. To put it mildly, “experimental” and visually stunning in terms of plot. Since then, a slew of time loop shows or movies has arisen, like Netflix’s Russian Doll. Looop Lapeta, on the other hand, is a pleasant departure in a genre that is still pretty recent in Hindi language cinema.

In each loop, Savi finds her in a Goblin greenish washroom and receives a desperate call from Satya to help save his life. Except for one, each loop concludes with a tragedy, and you observe the two repeating this dreadful 80 minutes three times. Though an intertwined time loop theme may appear monotonous, a skilled team of authors, including Vinay Chhawal, Arnav Nanduri, and Bhatia, ensures better. The screenplay has been streamlined slightly, considering viewers’ moods. The comedy is situational primarily, which makes it engaging.

The soundtrack and animation departments also play an essential role in making this picture as psychedelic, twisting, and humorous as intended. Taapsee, Tahir, and the supporting characters; every character must go to extreme methods to rescue the day, and they all do so admirably. It is a welcome effort to escape the ordinary.

After everything is said and finished, Looop Lapeta is much more than just another remake of an international movie. It not only reaches a technical high point, but it is also supported by an extraordinarily compelling tale and outstanding acting. For geek movie fans, it’s an aesthetically pleasing, soul-satisfying movie, and for everyone else, it’s a very well, compelling mystery.
