The word “Wayanad” originated from “Vayal Nadu” known as the “land of paddy fields”. Its seismic views are breathtaking. This place completely soothes one's soul with its enchanting beauty. The presence of Thirunelli temple, Chembra peak, Chethalayam falls gives an addition to its beauty. The heart lake is an ultimate destination for the lovers. This pleasing lake is in the shape of the heart and is a popular tourist attraction. Wayanad district is a paradise on Earth. It is a peaceful place, far away from the mundane city life. Places like these must be explored at least once in a lifetime. 2. Matheran Matheran Matheran is located near Mumbai, in Maharashtra, a hill station famously known as “cutest hill station of India”. It is known for its pleasant climate and a well-maintained colonial structure. The authorities have given much emphasis to preserve the greenery by restricting the use of motor vehicles. Nevertheless, a trip on the narrow-gauge railway provides mesmerizing views of the enchanting scenery. Some of the famous spots include Panorama point through which one can have glimpses of the views across the western ghats. Madikeri Madikeri Though it may sound unusual, South India has quite a few hill stations. One of these is Madikeri in Karnataka. Bounded by the Western Ghats, this hill station has many tourist attractions. Sitting upon a hillock, the Raja's seat is an imposing monument that leaves tourist wonderstruck. Omkareshwara temple, dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva is a perfect worship place for a theist. You will not do the justice to your trip if you won't visit Raja's tomb, Sree Kanchi Kamakshi temple, and Linga Rajendra tomb, which are treasure-troves of our rich history and culture. 4. Auli Auli Auli is a beautiful hill station situated in Uttarakhand. The hill station is enclosed by coniferous and oak forests, the abode of Nanda Devi and Nar Parvat mountain. A visit to Auli is incomplete without taking a trip to Badrinath temple, a famous pilgrimage site. Located nearby is the Valley of Flowers National Park where one would come across lovely flowers. If you are lucky enough, you might also come across snow leopards and red foxes. 5. Lambasingi Lambasingi Lambasingi is a small village located in Andhra Pradesh. This village is famously known as “Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh”. Comprising peaks, enchanting valleys, and apple orchards, this is truly a traveller's delight. One must visit Erravaram waterfalls, Lambasingi dam, Kothapalli Waterfalls and Thajangi Reservoir. This place which has a sparse population will give you a mystical experience.
