Just sit on any stone and feel nature calling you. It feels like every stone on the river bed is calling you, so is every tree in the horizon. The magic of Satluj River is that if you don’t respond to these calls, nature has the “air” for you, the breeze won’t allow you to go. There is not a moment of silence, but it is music and not noise, it thrills to be around.

Cloud formation and patterns of the surf transport you to a different world, a world of happiness and joy.  It would be tough to find a pair of feet who can resist pull of the river, you have to get your feet to listen to it. The experience of your feet in water for a few hours leaves you feeling that they have become so light, that you can fly.

Life looks so simple, you can almost understand what your heart says, you can do what your heart says, the heart takes over and the mind goes on a sabbatical, a much needed sabbatical.

Certain stretches of the Satluj offer excellent white water rafting options, which are cheap and safe. The starting point of these expeditions which offer continuous Class III/ IV rapids is a place by the name of Rampur Bushair. It offers great 30 to 40 KMs of river good for rafting and fun.
