Had there been wings to fly, the first thing I would have done was to fly over the snow clad mountainous valleys and rushing waters of the rivers. Well, having wings can be a crazy imagination, but having a bird’s eye-view of the spectacular mountains and lyrical water of the rivers is definitely not! Thanks to the technology that developed the cable-car centuries ago, travelling between the mountains has become a lot easier today! In fact, it is one of the major attractions for the tourists all over the country who throng the mountainous valleys to catch a glimpse of the pristine beauty of the hill-stations.
A cable-car is an aerial tram also known as a trolley or a gondola in various parts of the country. It is mostly found in the hilly-terrains to travel between one station to the other. It may have been developed for commuting purpose precisely but today it is more of a joy-ride at most of the hill-stations in India. Visiting a hill-station and not experiencing the cable-car ride is just like sitting on a horse but not riding it! Its incomplete!
