About Sinquerim Beach

Sinquerim is located on the north side of Baga beach and has beautiful, wide stretches of endless sand.  Sinquerim Beach happens to be the most famous tourist beach in North Goa. Here, one can enjoy world class adventure sport activities like parasailing and scuba diving. And not to forget, it is here that the now famous Sunburn festival is held each year during the month of December. Right adjacent to the beach is Fort Aguada, which is another major attraction especially after the release of Bollywood movie Dil Chahta Hai, a scene of which was shot here.

Location

This beach is located approximately 16 km away from Goa's capital Panaji and the nearest railway station is Carambolim.

Best Time to Visit

November to February is usually the best time to visit Goa. If you love the rains then you must plan your trip between June and October. Tourists throng Sinquerim early morning to catch a stunning sight of the sunrise.

Places to Stay and Eat

There are many restaurants, resorts and hotels in the nearby areas to choose from. Tuscany Gardens, Earthen Oven, Bomra’s, The Mermaid and Banyan Tree are some of the most famous eateries around Sinquerim. To stay, places like Vivanta of Taj, The Banyan Soul and Goa Marriott Resort & Spa are quite popular among tourists.

Shopping

The famous Baga - Calungute road is nearby. It is a hub for ‘all things shopping’ in Goa.

How to Reach

Sinquerim is about 37 kilometers from the Dabolim airport and it takes around one hour to reach. Thivim, the nearest railway station, is at a distance of 18 kilometers and connects this beach to most parts of the country. Additionally, self-driven cars and bikes are available for rent at a nominal price.
