11 February 1968: Deendayal Upadhyaya, activist and economist, died
Known as a noted sociologist, political activist and philosopher, pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya played a pivotal role in developing outfits like the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
